Another Chance at Monday 🌻

Happy to see another glorious Monday make it's way back to us.

If you follow me on IG you may know I deep dove into a new book to start the year called Manifest by Roxie Nafousi . Shout out to one of my very best besties, Roya aka Hot as we call each other since highsdchool (lol), for putting me on to it. I absolutely love it.

It's been 2 years of learning, understanding and truly testing  “manifestation” versus just buzzing the word around and this book has been the cherry on top to the journey so far. I contains easy to digest information and exercises to put the concepts to work. I overall highly recommend it.

There's a chapter in the book called “Aligned Your Behavior” which calls us to align our actions to that which we set out to manifest-- our daily routines as a very important starting point. I wanted to share one of the exercises in this chapter with you as I believe it very much ties into the refresh of a brand new week.

EXERCISE:

Write down 3 daily practices you will begin to incorporate into your life.

(Examples: 10 journaling, 5 minutes of affirmations, 10 minute meditation, a daily walk, long bath, a daily workout, yoga, 5 minutes of gratitude.)

1. ___________________________________

2.____________________________________

3.____________________________________

Make a commitment to yourself to do them everyday for 66 days (the number of days it is said to take to form a habit.)

True and lasting change is really created in the small changes that you make day to day.

- Roxie Nafousi

My three are:

1. get out of bed everyday LATEST by 8AM, whether I have an early AM appointment or not

2. move my body at least 20 minutes everyday-- be it a 20 minute walk at the park or an hour long HIIT class

3. continue my AM practice of reading/journaling/meditation for at least 15 minutes everyday

This may look different for parents who have to get the kids to school every morning, or someone with a job that requires for them to be in office by a certain time, etc-- the goal is to commit to making the time and to commit to doing them.

My 3 are true for me/my lifestyle, so make sure to keep your 3 true to you and who you are working on becoming.

As you make your list, perhaps the thought that “these seem small or insignificant” compared to where you want to be or maybe to where you once were--  I promise you that they are not. That's just the current version of yourself trying to keep the new version of yourself from taking the old you's job lol.

Small shifts often times have more profound an effect than we could ever imagined but just like that a new way of living is born.

Let me know how it goes <3
